Enrichment T.E.A.M. was founded in 2012, by Sandy, who envisioned primary education to include more elements of character building through play which she believed to have a lifelong impact on children — an approach separate from the rest of the providers in the market . Sandy built T.E.A.M.’s core beliefs such that our methodology and curated curriculum can bridge the gaps in primary school education to help students excel both academically and in their character and personal development.

With the philosophy “Every child is unique and talented in his or her own way”, Sandy made an after-school care structure that integrated the opportunity for students to become exposed to a variety of different interest. From this, they can realize their potential in areas outside of academics and learn values (such as teamwork and perseverance), knowledge, and skills that they would not have done so within a classroom. T.E.A.M. supports them with dedicated programs that seeks to inculcate and reinforce positive behaviours.

Hailing from a corporate background, Sandy braved stiff competition when she started her first centre at Maritime House. She worked hard to earn the trust of parents as a first-time entrepreneur and gained a large following within her first year of operation through word of mouth and recommendation of satisfied parents. Today, Sandy is still as down to earth and hands-on despite having 4 centres island wide and growing. She remains actively involved and frequently goes into classrooms to co-teach with her teachers and guide them personally. Even as she hires new teachers, Sandy personally interviews her candidates, only selecting educators who share the same philosophy and values as T.E.A.M. and able to guide students to become a self-directed learner and active contributor to the society.

Within the team behind T.E.A.M., Sandy forms a good relationship with her staff and holds counselling sessions to understand their challenges and motivate them. This factor contributes greatly to the high satisfaction and retention rates of staff in all her centres.

Most importantly, Sandy believes in the triangle of support; the teachers and parents form the solid base of the triangle which securely supporting the student. With that, Sandy and her supervisors work very closely with all her parents and maintains an open communication channel as she believes that a success in a child’s development is a team effort and requires dedication from teachers, parents, and from children themselves. This belief has helped T.E.A.M. to be able to reinforce positive character development and academic improvement in the centre, at home, and in school.
